All the basic aspects of shooting people and products in the studio are covered. (Approximately 70% of the time is devoted to people; 30% to products.) Specific topics covered: chosing subject and background; composition and posing; basic tools (cameras, lenses, lights--flash, hot lights, ambient light--props and backgrounds); and controlling the light with umbrellas, soft boxes, flags, etc. In Dover, NJ Rich will give students a tour through his 4,000 square foot studio and briefly discuss studio layout and organization.
